What we inspect
A stiff or broken hinge can also damage the display cable, bezel, lid or base. We inspect the complete hinge area before planning the repair.
- Broken hinge mounts
- Cracked base or display cover
- Loose or lifting hinge
- Damaged bezel and nearby plastics
Fabrication and reinforcement
When a suitable replacement body part is unavailable, a custom reinforcement or fabricated component may be considered. The solution depends on dimensions, load and remaining material.
Avoid further damage
Do not repeatedly open or close a laptop with a separating hinge. Bring the charger and any detached pieces with the device.
